Falconer Rise, Jacks Point, Artektus in Queenstown

Oak timber floors throughout the open plan living space

Designed by ARTEKUS with highly detailed interiors by Jess from Forager Studio, executing this home’s ambitious design demanded strict technical rigour on-site. The open-plan living pavilion features soaring cathedral ceilings and custom-positioned skylights that flood the rich oak herringbone flooring with natural light.

Throughout the home, the focus is on uncompromising materiality. In the kitchen, a dramatic, heavily-veined white marble wraps the oversized island and splashback, set against dark oak cabinetry and a built-in cocktail bar. The private wing houses a master suite defined by rich terracotta-painted vaulted ceilings and framing views of the jagged mountains, while the ensuite features hand-glazed, biscuit-toned tiling, aged brass tapware, and a glass-enclosed shower lit by a dedicated skylight.

Perched against the raw schist stone landscape of Jacks Point, Falconer Rise represents a seamless collaboration between architect, designer, and builder, delivering a flawless standard of modern alpine living.
