I’m Rob Ferguson, owner of Ferguson Builders, a leading Queenstown building and construction company. I have been in the building and construction industry for almost 20 years and am here to help you make your building goals as easy to achieve as possible.
In 2011 I moved from Scotland to New Zealand and began Project Managing for an award-winning construction company. This role offered me great opportunity for personal and professional growth, and in 2014 I took a leap and started my own business.
Starting Ferguson Builders was about creating an opportunity to build and learn from the relationships with the people I would work with - the client and architects, sub-contractors, designers, colleagues and everyone in between.
For the last 9 years, Ferguson Builders has continued to grow out of an appreciation of these connections with the people, a love of the building trade and a passion for delivering transparency and top-quality workmanship to each and every job we complete.
My team and I are proud to call Queenstown home- getting to work and play in one of the most beautiful places in the world. We consider it an incredible privilege to be trusted on the building journey with each client we work with here and the joy and excitement we get to share in as move in day arrives truly never gets old.

We take full responsibility for everything we do and bring a proactive approach to every client and project. Our team are always monitoring what’s happening on site, to reduce risk and quickly identify and rectify any issues.

We take the time to get things right, the first time. Our team are constantly upskilling and enjoy staying ahead of new industry standards, techniques, and building trends. We’re proud to say our hard work has been rewarded with multiple Gold, Silver and Bronze placings at the Master Builders House of the Year awards.

We look out for each other and make sure our team feel valued and connected. We offer a flexible work week, which makes the team happy (and doesn’t slow down your project!). We celebrate our wins and project milestones, and invite our clients to celebrate with us.
Our architectural building work is completed by a specialist team of building professionals and overseen by Registered Master Builder and Licensed Building Practitioner, Rob Ferguson.
